Origin of the Name

The Latin motto on the Ramsey Country Club’s logo, "Rara Avis," translates to "rare bird." This refers to a rare bird once found on the property, and the term also symbolizes a "child prodigy." We chose this name because Ramsey Country Club has always faced challenges attracting non-members to its restaurant. Our goal with a unique name is to make the restaurant stand out and spark curiosity. While it's not a traditional steakhouse, the menu features high-quality steaks, giving it an Italian steakhouse feel. The word "rare" ties in perfectly with this concept, making it an ideal fit for the restaurant’s identity.
